Preparatory Year PDF Print E-mail

Prep is offered fulltime at Tent Hill Lower S.S. and is included as part of a multi-age Early Years class. Students are eligible for Prep if they turn 5 years old before 30th June.

In the Prep year, students are actively involved in learning and will have opportunities to learn in many different ways such as investigations and play. Children are encouraged to develop independence and personal organisation skills. Working with other children and adults is also an important life skill that is part of the program.

Through a range of learning experiences that are negotiated with the teacher, children will learn to:

 Develop early literacy and numeracy skills
 Develop independence and problem – solving skills
 Learn how to co-operate with others
