Tent Hill Lower State School

Principal's Welcome PDF Print E-mail

Welcome to Tent Hill Lower State School. Our school provides a wonderful family friendly atmosphere where every child is recognised and treated as an individual. Enrolment at Tent Hill Lower S.S. is your child’s 'growth to a beautiful future.' and you can be reassured that you have made a ‘bloomin’ fine choice” for your child’s education

At Tent Hill Lower, there is a “valley of opportunities’" whether in the classroom, the sporting field or in an artistic endeavour for your child. Students at Tent Hill Lower S. S. receive much more than just an academic education, with a focus on a balanced education to support school and family life in a modern busy world.

Students learn in an environment that is firmly grounded in community values. Throughout 2007 our school community engaged in developing our values statement now known as " B.U.D.S ".

Be honest and responsible, Use respect, Do your best, Show care, tolerance and fairness.”

These values underpin the way we teach, learn, play and interact with each other. They support our school vision for their education:

“Growing beautiful futures in the valley of opportunities”

The staff at this school are committed to helping your child maximise their potential and grow into a well balanced and productive individual as they venture on their educational journey.

We also embrace the philosophy that effective education must be a partnership between teachers, parents and students. Parents are their child’s first teachers and the supportive messages parents give their children regarding education and schooling are important. To enable this partnership to work effectively we encourage all parents to become actively involved with the school . This will embody our school motto – “Together we can do anything”
